Maui Huliau Foundation:

We were founded in 2010, with the mission to promote environmental literacy and leadership among youth ages 12-18 throughout Maui Nui.

Through our unique hands-on programs, we seek to educate and empower youth to become future stewards of our natural environment. We accomplish this by engaging them in real-life projects alongside community members, which help them realize the power they have in creating positive change for our islands. We also facilitate the passing on of intergenerational ʻāina-based knowledge, and empower diverse youth voices in community conversations about environmental issues.

Our five main programs include the Huliau Environmental Filmmaking Club, where students make environmental films, the Huliau Climate Literacy Project, which works with teachers to increase climate literacy, the Huliau Leadership Council, where students plan service and leadership projects, the Huliau Eco-Adventure, our alumni-led ʻāina-based summer program, and Huliau Green Events, which helps events and schools divert waste from the landfill.

In 2021, we also launched our new Careers in Conservation event series exposing youth to hands-on skills in various sustainability careers, and our new Kūkulu Pilina teacher professional development series, which empowers teachers to employ ʻāina-based education and community partnership to strengthen the HĀ outcomes in public schools (Hawaiʻi Department of Education's Nā Hopena Aʻo framework).

HOW TO ENTER TO WIN: There are different ways you can enter to win on the Share the Aloha website, all of which are easy to do.

Create & Share a Postcard. You can visit any Campaign page on the Share the Aloha website and create a postcard, which you can then share in a text or on social media using any one of the links provided in order to receive 100 FREE entries.

Get a Boost. When you share your postcard, others can Boost that postcard with a donation. When someone Boosts your postcard, you will receive 10 FREE entries to win for every one dollar ($1) they donate.
